THE AMERICAS
After 45 years of traveling through the Americas I can see the progressive blending of cultures and languages taking place. (Do you speak Spanglish?). The influence of popular media and economic change (globalization) has pushed societies in many of the countries within the Western Hemisphere to a more shared attitude about social goals and values. Hopefully this will mean a more peaceful coexistence in the near future for all nations in the Americas - but not a loss of the more important cultural uniqueness of their individual national character.
